Florida Housing offers a Homebuyer Program that provides 30-year fixed rate first mortgage loans to first time home-buyers (no home ownership during previous 3 years) through participating lenders and lending institutions throughout the State of Florida. Eligible borrowers may also participate in one of Florida Housing’s second mortgage programs to access down payment assistance and closing costs.
To qualify for these programs, which can help with your down payment and closing costs, you may need to meet income limits and have a credit score of at least 640. Here Is a brief description of the programs. They include fixed rate loans and down payment and or closing cost assistance.
